Dr. Zachary Holmes
Product Development Team Lead
BIOMILQ
Zack is a computational biologist with a PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke University. His research at Duke investigated how diet can be used as a lever to manipulate the gut microbiota and positively impact host inflammation. Before graduate school, he became interested in microbiomes while studying the microbiota of disease vectors at the CDC. At BIOMILQ, Zack has worked to understand the complexity of breast milk and to identify mediators of both microbiome and infant health that can only be produced by human mammary cells in BIOMILQ’s platform.
