Emanuele is a physician-scientist with expertise in the role of the gut microbiome in health and disease. He is an entrepreneur leading the clinical research and R&D strategy for Parvizi Surgical Innovation, a venture studio based in Philadelphia. After graduating, Emanuele joined Rothman Institute in Philadelphia, US, where he pursued a PhD in medical microbiology and infection prevention that contributed to defining the gut-joint axis in osteoarthritis and surgical site infections.
