Lars is Professor of Pediatrics, Chair of Collaborative Human Milk Research, founding Director of the Larsson-Rosenquist Foundation Mother-Milk-Infant Center of Research Excellence (MOMI CORE), and founding Director of the Human Milk Institute (HMI) - all at the University of California San Diego. His research is mainly focused on human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). He has published nearly 200 peer-reviewed articles, and, in 2022, he ranked in the top 0.1% of most highly cited scientists in the world.
