Sandra is a registered dietitian and food and nutrition expert with over 25 years of diverse experience in food, nutrition, health, and wellness. Sandra has a university degree in nutrition and food science. After completing her internship, she worked as a hospital-based dietitian, applying her extensive knowledge to provide nutrition care for diverse health issues, culminating as the Nutrition Manager for Clinical Research involved in the design and supervision of clinical nutrition research trials at the Toronto General Hospital. Sandra transitioned to community health and wellness, creating Saville Nutrition Consulting to focus on health promotion and nutrition strategies for disease prevention and optimal health. Sandra has delivered numerous corporate nutrition and wellness programs and provided individual client counseling.
Sandra also serves as the Corporate Dietitian for the Longo's chain of family-owned grocery stores, providing expertise on food and health issues and trends, and recommendations for product and ingredient decisions. Sandra has also developed and delivered corporate and consumer marketing programs. She has extensive media experience, with appearances on local and national television, radio, and in national newspapers and magazines, where she has profiled foods, health, and nutrition. She has delivered numerous presentations and educational sessions on nutrition, probiotics, and the microbiome, nationally and internationally.
